I was born in New York City, and at age 2, was transplanted to the Loire Valley in France. My mother – a Parisian – studied at the Sorbonne and became a German teacher. My father could speak four languages fluently, and knew several others. Both had a love for languages and travel, and so I was constantly exposed to a rich array cultures and arts. So teaching came naturally to me.
I have taught French in a wide variety of formats, privately and online (Living Language, Rosetta Stone), in classrooms (Alliance Française of San Francisco). My students encompass the broadest spectrum of ages, professions, education levels and cultural backgrounds.
With the Language Garage, students have now an unmatched way of learning online. Everyone here is top-notch, fun, passionate, if not downright geek about language learning. More still, it’s like a small family: we know and trust each other, communicate ideas constantly. We are integral part the company. This gives us both a creative power and a confidence that is impossible to experience in a corporate setting.
Needless to say, it’s a unique, liberating situation for me, and I am thrilled to be part of this exceptional team!
